INSTALLATION:

Place in areas where there is strong activity of flying insects such as doorways and docks.  Flies are drawn indoors by food odors, warm air and light coming through open doors, windows, and roof vents.  Position the bug zappers 5 to 15 feet inside the doorway or dock opening for best results.  Wind, even breezes can force small insects inside rooms.

Important – always point the light traps U.V. light into the building so it can not be seen from the outside.  Since flies are attracted to light, we do not want to unintentionally draw the flies inside.  This is a common mistake you want to avoid.

WALL HUNG

It is best to space the light traps 25 to 50 feet apart on the inside of your exterior walls.  The number of lights used will vary depending a number of  things like insect pressure, desired control level and the amount of light that is visible from them in hallways and other areas.  This is important because the traps can only do their job if the flying insects see  and fly into them.

Place bug zappers approximately 3 to 6 feet above the floor as that is where the filth flies spend most of their time feeding and laying eggs.

YEARLY MAINTENANCE

The Ultra-Violet (U.V.) bulbs need to be replaced once a year, Spring is best, so mark your calendars to change them every March/April.

If you live in the Southern regions, the warmer temperatures allow for year round insect activity, so they should be changed twice a year, Spring and Fall is best, so mark your calendars to change them every March/April and September/October.
